I washed the light-colored walls and made the electricians come back to fix their jumped circuits.

About the project

I refused to allow fast movements or strobe effects on the exterior of the building. It is a hazard for drivers. The light-colored walls of Que Bueno Suerte! were a perfect canvas for wall washers. I used IP67 PARs to uplight the street-facing side and downlight the patio, then outlined the front roof edge with LED pixel bars.

I had an electrician come out to install GFI outlets and new breakers. For some reason, electricians tend not to believe me when I am specific about balancing power. They put the outlets in the right spots but jumped existing circuits to cut costs. I had them come back and fix their work. The pixel strips took an Advatek receiver, and the exterior fixtures patched into Madrix to run with the rest of the restaurant.

When the system powered on, you could clearly pick the venue out from a block away. It caught people's eyes as they walked down the street.
